Singapore joint development to create a better life with Malaysia

President of Singapore Mr. Tony Tan point out that Malaysia and Singapore remained the largest trading partnership.

He said, friendly cooperation between two counties are growing deeply, especially project similar to Iskandar development zone will strengthen ties each other economic, while helping the parties more capable facing with the challenges of global competition. In addition, this will help both country to grow together, and create a better life for the people. Mr. Tony Tan said on his speech on Monday night when dinner at Presidential Palace hosting of Malaysia’s Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajah Haminah.

Was attended by Minister of Singapore Prime Minister’s Office- Mr. Lim Swee Say, Menteri of Kementerian Kerja Raya (Works) Fadillah Yusof, The High Commissioner of Malaysia to Singapore, Dato' Husni Zai Yaacob and others.

He also pointed out that cooperation between two countries increasingly strengthened in recent years, making progress on some outstanding issues.

[We have made progress in the Kuala Lumpur – Singapore high speed railway and Johor- Singapore MRT, these bilateral cooperation projects will strengthen bilateral ties.]

He said that firm relationship between two countries is the result of bilateral visit made by the leader. They get a success on last month meeting.

Frequent mutual visits, sustained exchanges between leaders and stable relationship between two country’s peoples will strengthen and consolidate the harmony and trust for both countries.
 

Mr. Tony Tan hope closer relationship between two country through deep understanding of history and culture.

 

He said: caused of geopolitical uncertainty, is very important for ASEAN country to cooperate to achieve 2015 ASEAN Community’s goal.

 “Malaysia will become the chairman of ASEAN, we hope to maintain a close relationship with Malaysia and other ASEAN countries, work together to build a future.”

Four-day visit by Malaysia’s Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Sultanah Hajah Haminah in Singapore. Today accompanied by First lady of Singapore Mary Chee Bee Kiang presided of naming ceremony of orchid at Singapore Botanic Gardens National Orchid Park.

This named ‘Abdul Halim’ orchid variety is waxy orange color with red spotted.

Malaysia’s Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Sultanah Hajah Haminah accopanied by people to enjoy the rare and precious orchid at Singapore National Orchid Park. Later had visit to Gardens by the Bay and stay more than 1 hour at several attractions.

The Four-day state visit by Malaysia’s Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Sultanah Hajah Haminah was invited by president of Singapore Mr. Tony Tan,start from 19th to 22th of this month.
