[Sin Chew Daily] Representative of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia Mr. Lo, Yu-Chung estimate the reconstruction amount should be more than ten billion Taiwan Dollar. He fell grateful to those generosity for Kaohsiung gas explosion.
Kaohsiung, Taiwan explode rise the concern in the international community. Mr. Lo, Yu-Chung received relief funds from 4 association with sum total of about two hundred fifty thousand Malaysia Ringgit at Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia this morning. At ceremony, he express heartfelt thanks on behalf of Taiwan’s government and Kaohsiung’s city government.
He said that, the Kaohsiung gas explosion incident caused serious injury and death, and impact of several million people so far, the authorities have identified 28 innocent people killed and over 300 injured; he hoped the victims' family grief and take care.
A series of disaster in this year
He said that the world are not peaceful, there are a lot of disaster happen in this year, soma are natural disasters and some are Man-made disaster. Such as lost contact of Malaysia Airlines MH17 aircraft, Malaysia Airline’s MH370 aircraft that suspected be shot down by missile, Penghu, Taiwan airliner crash, Algeria airliner crash, Ebola virus, Middle East war, Yunnan Earthquake, Xinjiang terrorist attack incident and others.
4 Association fundraising: Malaysian Chinese Youth Taiwan Study Tour Counselling Committee (NT $160,000); Malaysia Taiwan Trade Associations (NT $200,000); TW House Realty (M) Sdn Bhd (NT $ 1 million) and Asia Pacific International Property (NT $ 1 million). He said that this fund will send to the disaster area thru OCAC, Republic of China (Taiwan).
“Taipei Economic and Cultural Office pray for all, hope that people can put aside hatred and work together for world peace efforts, people to be able to completely eliminate the manmade disasters, natural disasters can be minimized”. Lo, Yu-Chun said so.
Xun Ren Chuan: Send the caring to Taiwan
President of Malaysian Chinese Youth Taiwan Study Tour Counselling Committee cum secretarial of Malaysia Taiwan Trade Associations Mr. Xu Ren Chuan said that, although Taiwan is far away from Malaysia, but Malaysia fell empathic understanding, enthusiastic help Taiwanese.
“A lot of our members had visited Kaohsiung. There are enthusiastic response when we call for donation. We also get support from President of Malaysia Taiwan Trade Associations Mr. Tan Rong Li.” He point out that committee was schedule goal of NT $100,000, and now had achieve NT $ 160,000.
Besides Mr. Xu Ren Chuan and Mr. Tan Rong Li. attendees included OCAC, Republic of China (Taiwan)- Dato’ Ting Chung Cheng, Chief Operating Officer of Taiwan House Realty (M) Sdn Bhd - Mr. Steven Chou Chia Ching, Executive Director of Asia Pacific International Property- Mr. David Chin Chi Sung; Financial of Malaysia Taiwan Trade Associations - Dato’ Liu Wen Hing, committee member- Mr Lim Chai Gui; deputy chairman of Malaysian Chinese Youth Taiwan Study Tour Counselling Committee-Mr. Zhou Dao Hui, Secretary Zhang Fu Yuan, member-Mr Qu Tian Cheng; Negeri Sembilan Association adviser Datuk Lin Wen liang.
