UEM Sunrise's Aurora Melbourne Central Project Receives Overwhelming Response

SINGAPORE -- UEM Sunrise Bhd's first property development in Australia, Aurora Melbourne Central, has received an overwhelming response, with over 95 per cent of the total residential units taken up over two weeks of exclusive worldwide preview launch.
 
In a statement Monday, UEM Sunrise said Singaporean buyers comprised 15 per cent of total sales, signalling strong support for its properties and confidence in the Australian property market.
 
A property exhibition for the development took place here over the weekend of Nov 8 and 9, it said.
 
UEM Sunrise managing director/chief executive officer, Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib said: "We are proud to launch Aurora Melbourne Central, our maiden venture in Australia. It has an enviable location, one-stop convenience and unrivalled connectivity to transport networks."
 
Anwar Syahrin said UEM Sunrise believed in the long-term economic and investment fundamentals of the Australian property market.
 
"As we continue our plans to strategically expand regionally, we will be actively on the lookout for opportunities in Australia," he said.
 
Aurora Melbourne Central is Melbourne's only residential development with direct underground connection to the rail network, the Melbourne Central Station as well as the central business district's largest continuous retail precinct comprising of Melbourne Central Shopping Centre, Emporium, Myer, David Jones, GPO and the Bourke Street Mall.
