Demand For Talent In Property & Construction Heats Up, Says Recruitment Agency

KUALA LUMPUR -- Demand for skilled construction talent is expected to increase by 4.5 per cent per annum over the next four years following the government's Economic Transformation Programme.
 
Spring Professional Malaysia Country Manager Jeff Bonnin said jobs such as construction managers, site managers and site engineers were the most sought after in the job market.
 
"The increase in demand was in sync with the country's construction spending with the majority of the candidate market centred in Kuala Lumpur, although much of the demand for talent is in Johor Baharu and East Malaysia," he told a press conference here Tuesday.
 
Spring Professional Malaysia focuses on the recruitment of middle to senior level management and are specialists in the IT and engineering sectors.
 
The company has also added a property and construction specialty to its range of recruitment services.

Two large international real estate firms hosted separate press conferences on Tuesday to analyze the latest trend in real estate purchases. According to Executive Director David Chin (泰啟松) of Asia Pacific International Property, the firm, which specializes in real estate transactions in the Asia-Pacific region, made nearly NT$7.3 billion in sales.
