Mah Sing's showcases largest township to-date

Date:2015/05/19

Mah Sing Group Berhad (Mah Sing) showcased its largest township to-date at its new Meridin East City Sales Gallery.

Situated in Sierra Perdana, one of Mah Sing’s developments in Johor Bahru, guests at the new sales gallery were treated to an introduction to the product details as well as an exclusive insight on the township concept by the township planner.

The event also saw the opening of registration for The Willows, which comprise double-storey link homes measuring 18’ x 65’ sq ft in Meridin East. The Willows is the first component to be previewed in Meridin East’s first precinct, named CasaEden.

Guests at the event also enjoyed various activities including lion dance performance, a live band performance and a lucky draw session wherein prizes were given away.

In conjunction with Parents’ Day celebration, Mah Sing organised a Wish-A-Gift for your Fabulous Parents as well as Family Portrait Competition for those who attended with their family members.

Mah Sing’s fifth township in Johor, Meridin East is the group’s biggest township to-date. Measuring around 1,313 acres, the freehold land has an estimated gross development value (GDV) of RM5 billion.

Fronting Jalan Kong Kong and Jalan Kota Masai, the township can be easily accessed via the Senai-Desaru Highway, where the land is only 1km from the Cahaya Baru interchange.

Proposed infrastructure upgrades – including road widening of Jalan Kong Kong, the Johor-Singapore connection such as Rapid Transit System (RTS) and a third bridge from Desaru to Changi – are expected to prompt further growth of the area, particularly those related to agriculture and ecotourism which will benefit the township.

Notably, Meridin East will feature a tapestry of lakes and river banks that are folded in a topography of greens, providing a major cooling effect. Streetscape such as intersections, pavements, signage and landscape will be designed to establish a unique identity for the township.

Collector roads will also be designed as wide boulevards with a central median, while residential streets with a minimum width of 50 metres, will be designed as cul-de-sacs.
